Anaesthetist

BSc(Med) MBBS FANZCA

Dr Lansdown currently work at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and a number of Private Hospitals in the Lower North Shore and Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. I am fortunate to work with a range of fantastic surgeons and their various specialities.

My extensive training and now varied practice keeps me utilising a full range of anaesthetic skills and techniques which gives me the confluence I can deliver the modern, comprehensive and the best possible care for all my patients and their surgeries.

My main area of clinical interest and expertise is in Regional Anaesthesia or Nerve Blocks, and I regularly teach and lecture at national conferences on these topics.

At RPA I lead clinical innovation and research in regional anaesthesia. I am also on the Executive Committee of the Australasian Regional Anaesthesia Special Interest Group.

I have also had experience on committees with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) in particular as an organiser of our national scientific meeting in Singapore 2014 and Sydney 2018.

Professional History

I have been a consultant anaesthetist since 2011 after finishing my training primarily at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

I also undertook a further year of specialty training, primarily in the use of ultrasound to block nerves for surgery and pain relief, at a prominent hospital in Toronto, Canada.

A few interesting things I’ve also done over the years include work as a Fellow on the Careflight and Ambulance Helicopters and work at rural hospitals such as Orange and Wagga.
